There are seven days in a week. The days are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Saturday and Sunday are called the weekend. Monday through Friday are weekdays. When people don't have to work on Friday or Monday, they say they have a long weekend or they say they have a three-day weekend. In the United States, the first day of the week is Sunday and the last day of the week is Saturday. There are 52 weeks in a year.
